MarthaMOCA is an artist residency founded in 2020 by Jason Bereswill and Jane LaFarge Hamill on their vegetable farm in bucolic Lambertville, NJ. Named after their bulldog, Martha, the residency offers one-month stays for artists of all disciplines. Residents are given use of a fully furnished private live/work space with a studio, bathroom, and kitchen on the ground floor and a lofted bedroom above. The residency comes with a $500 stipend and a weekly vegetable share. Residents are free to enjoy the 32 acre property with walking paths through the woods, a tranquil pond, lap pool, and garden. There is no requirement to create or produce work while in residence; we encourage artists to use their time as best suits their own process. Applications are accepted from April 1 - May 1 each year for stays in September and October of that year. For more information please follow @martha_moca_nj on Instagram.
